Sea ice

I see that current sea ice at both poles are at record lows

Thanks for starting this thread, Brian. When I first looked at this, I thought that this was not the case for the Arctic, but there has been a bit of a melt since the attached graph (for 7th March) was published. The current level is now very close to the purple line - so very close to a record low for this time of the year up North.

and now reports of east Antartica was 40c above average for the time of year over 3 days

Somewhere down there had a heatwave. Got up to minus 11 which is a record maximum for Antarctica.
