Yesterday's dull ugly clagg conditions cleared away overnight and today was a reasonably fine day with high cloud and a couple of outgrow rain showers from the west but nothing substantial falling here. Today's maximum was 19.6C. Light winds mainly from the south.

Interesting morning here. Beautiful sunrise quickly swallowed up by the front, dropping about 5mm of rain. However not much of a temperature change. It is now very muggy with hardly any wind. Just some high cloud remaining with some west to east moving low cloud. Certainly not the conditions that normally occur after a southerly change. More to come later perhaps?

So weird seeing word 'frost' in forecast, as close as Taupo this Friday,, when have just had a "summer" beach day only 3 days ago!
