Re: Frosts 2022
The coldest of the four day run of frosts, and last, -2.3deg, thank goodness not heavy enough to do much damage to the stone fruit blossom, the apple blossom is not quite out yet, gooseberry blossom can handle heavy frosts

Re: Frosts 2022
Both Chch Aiport and Mosgiel down to -2.4C. Niwa strongly favoured a warm Spring for New Zealand which is yet to eventuate. There is some warm weather in the model outlook.

Re: Frosts 2022
Light frost here and -1. Not enough westerly airflow to increase average temps. Tony was spot on with his outlook. Warmer temps will come inland first once the land warms a little more and more snow melts off the mountains. Alex will be in the low to mid twenties today and tomorrow. Normal for this time of year once the southerly moves on.

Re: Frosts 2022
Slight grass frosting here this morning with truck window frozen, Down to plus 0.4C.
Apparently there were reports of frost here in parts of Geraldine on Wednesday morning.
Nothing here with the air temperature minimum getting down to 2.2C.
