N.I. Heavy Rainfall Event - Jan 27-Feb 02
Rain rate up to 97mm/hr here just before. Rain bands look quite broken up on radar but certainly some heavy falls around.

Some pretty good T-storms up Dargarville way atm.

Re: General January Weather
Over 130mm for me now in Flat Bush Auckland. Was at work all day and didn't realise how much had fallen until I checked the station. Quite surprising.

Re: General January Weather
Wow the TVNZ one news story on west auckland flooding sure looked incredible. This system has had some huge rainfall in it.

Re: General January Weather
I'm overseas at the moment, my wx station in Hobsonville Point is at 318mm with a peak rate of 146mm/hr. Insane numbers not sure if it is functioning correctly, the anemometer crapped out earlier. Station is exposed to the north / east / south. Wish I had a webcam to check if anyone was on a ladder pouring jugs of water into it!
