Very slight frosting on the automobile windscreen this morning while the air temp dropped to 2.2deg

Sorry its a bit late, but happy Anzac Day. Dawned a bit cold according to this MetService tweet with frost in places. Down to -4.1°C at Twizel and -3.1°C at Waiouru.

Frost tender plants are handle autumn frost better than in spring, and yes Ipomoea batatas are very frost tender, yacon, pumpkins and potatoes are another

First frost here, lawn white this morning, my thermometer showed +0.6°C but I see elsewhere in town down to -1.6°C.

We have only had ice on the car three times this year, today being one and its almost June! Having recently moved to Prebbleton I don't have any local knowledge, but it does seem pretty low.
