Felt most unpleasant here. That Magnitude value still subject to assessment I think, initially was 5.8.

Light rocking in Chch; got text saying 5.3 so knew it was some distance away.

Understand there was a good earthquake down south Canterbury way. Everything alright down that way John? And others down their?

Strong shake down here. I could hear it coming. A few items knocked over in the house and pendant lights swinging from side to side. Dogs not impressed at all - neither was I to be fair.

6.2... looks to me like the Lake Heron Fault is implicated as the cuplrit. Will have been a strong shake in the mountains

Good shake in Waimate. Was inspecting a car on the hoist when it hit, got out from under it fairly quickly!

Has been revised to M6.0 at 11 km deep (45 km north of Geraldine).

Everything allgood down here in temuka, was a good wee shake a few items off shelves in some shops

Hardly noticed it. Was in bed at the time reading the paper. Very slight vibration that lasted for about 7 seconds here.

One small item fell over, all pictures askew on wall.
