Re: General December Weather
Looking very favorable almost have a high risk today, few lighter showers earlier now some sunshine and a moderate NE wind.
Cover those plants could be some decent hail stones today.

Cant see a cart map underneath the warning on the MS site, can anyone else see it? would be handy to see how far west could they develop.

Re: General December Weather
Some very heavy hail about 5mm in diameter before, heaviest in a number of years and deafening on the roof.
Loud thunder but alot of CC strikes hard to get photos of.
Not sure if something was hit near the airport as there was quite abit of smoke earlier on.
Hail still piled up here and lots of flooding.
Have seen photos of hail stones about 20mm in diameter probably the storm over north Canterbury now.
Still remains a risk of heavy showers and hail through the day today too. Another rumble just now but inland to the west this time.

Re: General December Weather
Nothing landing or departing at CHC airport. Notably, the Singapore airlines flight has gone to AKL.
