Mainland Meetup 28th April
Talking with Mike a week or two back about having another catch up, so lets set a date hey.
I reckon Rolleston would be a ideal central location for us cantabs, be great if anyone else from the rest of NZ to rock up as well.

Re: March Mainland Meetup
Would like to come. not love to come as I hate the over expression of that word, but we will be away overseas from St Patrick's Day for a month or so.

Re: March Mainland Meetup
10th March is a Sunday. That's a good idea to pick that day if its not too short a notice.

Re: March Mainland Meetup
Hi Richard, all sounds good, however I am having surgery on 5th March and quite possibly won't be fit for that weekend.. so abit up in the air for me anyway.
A venue of mind could be two fat possums west Melton though, as they do good food their. That is an idea

Re: March Mainland Meetup
Darn for me. I fly to Melbourne Sat 9th, stay and then a Sun 10th early flight to Hobart on a 717 before QANTAS retires them, then back.

Re: March Mainland Meetup
Two fat possums in west Melton, should we go with that? 3.00 pm. Shame Razor and Mike cant get there but its always going to be hard to time it where it suits everyone, its just that it would be great to have it on the 21st anniversary. Orion, darcyplumb, Jason, Classicford, Dean, would be lovely to meet you. Be good also to chat up with again with you Jason and Chris, ( I promise not to address you as tich this time), and all other NZ members also, even Simon Culling if you could make.
Ok so far its the two old farts me and John........

Re: March Mainland Meetup
A weather forum meetup sounds good, certainly a brilliant idea there especially with regards to the anniversary.
However as much as it would be nice to have it on the weekend of the anniversary, does it really need to be exact?
It's still a good occasion for the anniversary even if it it's say in April.
It would be great to have others be able to attend such as Razor and Mike, and give those in the North Island time to book accommodation should they wish to stay down here the night.

Mainland Meetup
Maybe a good good idea Jase. Hopefully April will suit John and that he's back from his trip.
Lets make it April, how does this suit everyone.
Date possibilities ??........

Late April, when we come back from overseas. Then I can show you my photos of some grand thunderstorms in the Indian Ocean, maybe?

I'll be away up north mid April (weekends 13th/14th and 20th/21st), but the other weekends should be ok.

27th of April is when we arrive back in Christchurch from Singapore, early morning. See how we feel.

Re: Mainland Meetup
Thanks for the invite, Richard - but not able to make the trip to NZ at the moment - but it is on my bucket list. I visited Australia for a few months back in 1990 and still regret not popping across the Tasman to see NZ for myself.
