Gidday guys,

Just in from moving the cattle in heavy cold rain ... heard some distant thunder rumblings towards the sea...wind here has dropped back to 12knts average, temp 14.5C, Dew Point 12.0C, Baro 1004.5 and dropping quickly.

:D Fingers crossed? :?:

Thanks for the report Macca. :)

That front moving in overnight could be the site for some cb development.
Not a lot happening on the 1800 NZST satellite though.

John, the upper looked a tad unstable over the South Island today. The 500hpa temperature is -29C which is very cold. Met Service were going for heavy showers/hail in Otago, which didn't happen as there is nothing to lift the air.
