Canterbury vanishes - from MetService short forecast!

We simply didn't exist on the midday short forecast, and the error wasn't corrected in the updated forecast after 2PM. I emailed MetService via the contact means on their site at about 3PM, but I haven't yet heard back from them. [-X

I have noticed that error on other occasions where they have printed the word Canterbury and nothing else after it.
I think the printouts for the forecasts are done very quick because I have noticed typing errors on the odd occasion :)

Mind you there is always BlueSkies Weather when MetService fails? :?: :-w

The latest short forecast is out and Canterbury is in it - we now exist again according to MetService. :)

Mind you there is alway Metservice when Blueskies fails. Isn't that better John! Mind you Blueskies never fails ;)

Nothing more to be said. 8) :)

I'm not being sarcastic, just in regard to Canterbury's forecast always being up on the blueskies website.. ;)

You do a good Job Tony. :)

http://www.fencepost.co.nz

Or directly: (you'll have to copy / paste the links below into your browser)

http://www.fencepost.co.nz/weather/nzwe ... jsessionid

.jhtml.197_A&_DAV=weather%2C%2Cnzweathermap

That's a big one!!

fencepost.co.nz works fine though.

I should have known!!

Was there (or is there?) an actual Blueskies dedicated website? If so, cool!! Someone, where is it?

No there isnt. Must get around to setting one up, but its unlikely to ever have much forecast info on it. A small business just cant afford to give away too much for free! Dont forget that all the data and info on MetService's web site is paid for by the government - ie tax payers. Blue Skies doesnt get anything from the government, we have to earn it all.

BTW now is a good time to email Fencepost and tell them if you like it, because the whole future of Fencepost weather is under review at present - if you want to see it continue in Blue Skies's hands and be expanded with some exciting ideas we have then please tell them!

I hope that Fencepost will not do to BlueSkies what the PRESS did years ago :x
