Here in Templeton it was hovering around freezing last night until just after midnight when a light westerly picked up and kept the temperature above 2C.

The breeze died out after 4:30am and the temperature (at 2m agl) had dropped to -3.2C just after sunrise (8:13).

Bright sunshine after that with good views of the "snowy peaks" :)

I see tonight's forecast has been revised upwards to -3 instead of -5 ....

A 7.9 degree frost recorded at the Ashburton domain this morning,we might be ice skating on the domain pond this year as well.
Temperature currently dropping towards another big one tonight.

its a terminology thing
a 7 degree frost does actualy mean -7oC
:)
just trying to help...
grass minimum is even colder too !

Well its not *that* cold here tonight-don't need heating on anyway :)
probably about 10 outside but wet underfoot
