Visit to Templeton

Unread post by Skywatcher »

Brian's event today has reminded me that I promised a while ago to organise an evening visit to see my setup here

It would also allow us to view the photos and video of Stephen and Aaron's funnel cloud :)

I was thinking of making it either this Wednesday or Thursday from about 7:30 unless that's too short notice :?:

Let me know what you think either here or email me directly.

Cheers
Steven

Yeah could bring it (the tape that is) along, got about 10min of F/C, and also about 30 minutes of some other chases/snowchases done over the last 3 months!

It's also good to put a face to a name. :)
Hopefully someone will take a photo of us and put it up on the forum :)

Yeah, really good night indeed!

Thanks very much Steven! That rotation of the funnel cloud and base of the cloud looked pretty good eh!

It was great to see the chase footage and pics from the snow to a funnel cloud and hail :D

Would be good to get a speeded up version of that cloud base rotation online for others to see.

A good, interesting evening, thanks to Steven.
Yes a good set up indeed and indeed a great benefit to us as weather observers/enthusiasts.
Now all we need is a good, juicy thunderstorm test the lightning recorder out. Now, Steven, when was it you planning on that trip to Edinburgh???
Interesting to see Deano's footage of that evening thunderstorm chase on April 4th 2004.
Now what was the time of that? ;) ...and the date?? ;)
If people had come in whilst we were watching they would of wondering what on earth we were looking at???
Black screen with the date and time in the corner for much of the footage
...by the way, Steven keeps pets...
...yes Snails :o

Yes, Deano, we noticed you were very quiet whilst filming. =D>
no swear words or "**** that was close" etc.. [-X
When I was filming a thunderstorm in Wanaka last year, I farted [-X and that came quite clearly on the tape. quite funny

Will add commentaries to my storm chasers here in "Straya", ;)
Might get a bit more action here too,if Tuesday nights storm is anything to go by.
By the way, would have been good to have Tony T there on Thursday night, last time I travelled through Amberley on the way to Hamner I muttered to myself this is where Tony T lives and my girlfriend said who?.
