It just shows you how excited these Aucklanders get when a thunderstorm passes over
well it wa a good one.....lots of ligthning, down bursts in places,white walls of torrential rain in places, you name it

there was almost one....i saw what could have developed into one....where it came ashore there was very strong winds and torrential rain ....and there was lots of cloud to ground lightning (this was all only 2 km from me)
it was a good one

I think there is a good chance for Thunder in Canterbury tomorrow.

the only problem i have is what time the southerly will come thru, i think it may just be abit too late!!

Yes I think Canterbury has a good chance, just hope the southerly doesn't arrive at 9pm or something, 6pm would be ok. If not for storms but for me and Steve to! But yeah, not too late unless there's a good temp into the evening if the southerly is late then it could still work out.

Yes, I saw you mentioned the possiblity of a lowering yesterday Brian, it could've been something!! Always good to hear a report.
