Bloody raining now after nearly a week of gale force winds 
Could be heavy rain in east of North Island - hasn't that area had enough punishment already with severe gales.

Winter will probably return for Sunday and Monday with another cold southerly outbreak, most probably with more snow on the mountains of both islands. (Blue Skies suggests possible level as low as 700m in Canterbury - not particularly low, but don't forget it's now December)

Just know never to plan anything outdoors except for the eskimos and ducks in the second half of the year
