Xmas day weather
The weather on Xmas day should be okay across NZ.
No sleet and snow on the way at this stage.
Looks like stable westerly quarter winds and it might be warm in the East.

Yes settled conditions for the North Island, with light southwesterly breezes for Auckland northwards, light westerlies elsewhere, warmer and sunnier out east.
Mostly fine for Canterbury northwards with light west to northwest winds.
Some rain or showers developing or persisting for Southland, Otago, Westland
Anyone else?

Yeah I agree but here in Canterbury between xmas and new year we have had Thunderstorms over the last 4-5 years and one day in 2002 had it dropping to 9dg here as we had a hailstorm.
But it's still got to be relativly warm air for TS so yeah I guess without TS it's pretty settled yeah.
Although our TS may occur before Xmas this year not after maybe after too I dont know but yeah looks like TS here tomora afternoon and on Wednesday.
cheers
JASON TIPPET.
