Heavy showers around Auckland early this morning, quite a bit of surface water in the streets around here. Here's some cloud photo's.

5mm recorded here, and a real close lightning strike too!

I was watching the action from the top of Mt Eden (and it looks like you were fairly nearby, spwill). Spectacular stuff! Thanks for the photos.

another very heavy squall line heading our way this morning!!!
and lighthing showing up on rickys tracker too (not much yet)
the sat and rain seq shows this cb line is getting more active as it gets closer

Yes, more heavy showers around Auckland this morning, have a look at the Met Service 10am Radar.
Brassnz, I often up on Mt Eden when there's stormy weather about, it's such a good vantage point.
