The End

I think folks, that is it for a while with regards to interesting weather.
I'm glad you enjoyed the show that the weather put on over the last few months.
Lets now enjoy the rest of summer and the lack of thunderstorms as more settled weather comes our way 8)

Boring, terrible weather up here though John so any change is very welcome.
Fohn winds should soon start to warm Canterbury atleast for the short term.

Just checked the GFSlr charts and it looks warm for the north island with NO cold outbreaks anywhere

So Bob McDavitt was right in saying 'wait for it'

Just you wait! :D There could be convective thunderstorms inland when this high situates itself over us. Maybe not so much for the inner South Island but the inner North Island could get some, but if they happen in inland SI places I wont be surprised. There's still going to be cold upper air up there so with ground heating who know's what'll happen!

After that yes it doesn't look interesting. But I'm sure there's something round the corner after this high moves on through. It hasn't been all that bad down here, we've had some sunny days so I'm not worried if more "interesting" weather comes near soon. I guess the rest of NZ will apreciate some fine weather though.
