I'm sure the severe weather and associated damages were distressing for all concerned. I hope there were no casualties. Shame to see so many planes tipped over and a happy occasion spoiled.

that video shows how quickly the wind and rain can hit with those storms fronts over there
I dont think those guys in the tent knew it was going to get that bad! (or anyone else in the area (otherwise the plains would have been lashed down obviously)

Looking back at the gfs it looked a good set up for severe thunderstorms over central Florida. LI's-5, 850mb flow 45kts, cold front dropping south. From memory the SPC were outlooking low severe probs.

But what amazed me was the visibility at its peak was down to maybe 10- 20 m at the best,certainly we don't get storms any where like that around here.
