I decided to write on some foreign forums for try to use english language, to share with other people my interest for the meteorology and to introduce the Italian weather details.
First I'll talk about the climate of my city: Rimini.
Rimini is on the north of the Adriatic coast, in the southern part of the Po Valley, near the Appennines:

Now I'll describe the average weather during the year:
January: It's the coldest month of the year. There are usually 10-15 day with min. temperature below 0°C, sometimes this month could be very cold and snowy.
February: It's another winter month with cold, rain and snow, but sometimes it could be milder in the last days.
March: The first 15-20 days are usually cold and rainy, sometimes snowy, but after the 20th of march the temperature increase very much with the first thunderstorms.
April: This is the first spring month with max temperature over 15°C and min always above 0°C. The snow is very rare.
May: In this month the warm and unstable air produce a lot of thunderstorms on the Appennines that can reach the coast. The Atlantic low pressure bring a lot of rain in the north of Italy in this month.
June: In the first 20-25 day it's similar to may, but with higher temperature (max >25°C and min >15°C). In the last day starts the summer.
July-August: These are the two warmest month of the year with max temperature that sometimes reach +30°C. There are only 4-5 rainy day a month, but the thunderstorms in that days are usually strong with a lot of rain. In the second part of august the temperature starts falling down.
Semptember: The rainy days increase and the temperature decrease (extreme +23/+17).
October: It's a rainy and cool month (temperature gets usually under 10°C for the fist time). It could fall some snow int the second part of the month, but it's really hard.
Novembrer: It could be an autumn month or a winter month, it depends, it's a very changable month.
December: It's the first winter month with min temperature below 0°C for 8-10 days. It's a very rainy month, and it's not hard to see the snow.

The last september it was the second warmest from 1955 here! It was a summer month, and also today the temperature are very above normal.
Oct 1st 2011: +15.3°C/+24.1°C ______ Sea water temperature: +23.0°C
In the next day it'll be warm with max temp. over +30°C in some places of the north and centre of Italy. But after the Oct 7th It'll get much colder than now for some cold air from the artic:
I hope you enjoy the italian weather!!
