Autumn Equinox

Nice day here to celebrate the AE, farewelling the sun to warm the Northern Hemisphere after a cold winter, especially on continental Europe.
Mind you it didn't produce the warmth over the Spring/Summer period in the Southern Hemisphere as expected.
A bit early this year for the AE, probably because it is a leap year as usually it is the 21st or the 22nd.
Just less than another 2 weeks with daylight saving ending, then into the throws of winter which could be the mildest on record. I hope I'm wrong. :cool:

Northern hempisphere didnt really have a cold winter apart from the 1st 2 weeks of february,USA warmer than normal mostly throughout especially inland and south.It was colder furthur east in europe ie towards Russia.

That's what I meant, Mick. Extremes over the last couple of years plus 30 to minus 30 in eastern areas of Europe. >_< or :smile:
