Yes that rocked and rolled for a good 20+ seconds it seemed. Great welcome home present from Kaiteriteri. So over it. One more over 5.5 and I am gone from this city. Thats the final straw. I am being worked into an early grave!

Never felt anything here although my wife reckoned the dresser rattled abit around 1:30am.
The one at 2pm, rocked Bob Crowder's screen when I was checking on some temperatures then. :>

A couple of earthquakes around here this morning. You could tell by the rumble.
Some possible 'back-burners' on the east end of the Greendale Fault, saying that we are not asleep yet! 8-o

Greendale has been busy having hic ups again last week or so, it is the first time in awhile ive seen a decent shake from the more western side of rolleston.
Come to think of it most the shakes after september 4th moved fairly quickly east to around rolleston within days, mind you even though the epicenter was near Darfeild the fault ruptured in different segments.
Brief rumble here and a hit from the west end of the house this time, sure is tough as boots this house although slowly getting more damage over time.
Had to replace the hot water cylinder this week because it had been leaking possibly since december 23rd shakes, but with it being slightly corrouded at the top and us needing a higher pressure cylinder we will only get some EQ cover for it.
Also had a local 3.1 the other morning just near clarkville came through with no warning strong vibrating rattle which sent the cats scattering, certainly shows there are faults all over the show down under.

A few further moderate shakes last night around Port Levy to Diamond Harbour, only felt the one just before 1am though as i was busy doing things for the others.
4.2 7pm
4.3 11pm
4.2 12:51am
Few smaller ones after that as well, i sure hope that her spat for abit because sometimes when it ramps up again like that after being quiet for awhile another 5 plus happens.

These ones are because they are from the port hills faulting system which is more an up and down jolt movement, the greendale and out east shakes build up and rumble then have the sideways shaking.
Also they are under old volcanic rock so the energy can often ping further, quite often these ones sneak up and give you abit of a fright without a rumble.
Although last nights 4.2 had a low rumble pressure sound with it enough to make me look up and halt.

Noisey short shake here this morning, just after 8am. First for ages, centred 3.5kms away.
4.3M I think it was at about 12kms deep.
I see Chris Crows site was playing up saying there were no earthquakes for the 29th. Probable cause was the leap year date???

Hadda wee shake, well more off a rumble than anything substantial, around 3pm first for ages. Around the Wards Road area. Not very strong, wouldn't notice it if you were up and about.

Theres been a few out west the last few weeks John more so near Darfeild in the early 3's, nice they are all small shows the land is stabilising out.
Moderate rattle on sunday night though from the east in the bay at 4.2, but really at that size its not too disruptive now just part of the everyday life in Canterbury.

Canterbury Quake Live seems to be covering mostly the aftershocks from our big quakes, ones too much further away from Chch probably unrelated to the sequence.

3.9 (or 3.6, depending on which site you're looking at) this afternoon in Chch - felt stronger than that, probably as it was centred on Port Hills. (felt more like the high 4's from out east or west feel)

Yes that was not pleasent. Heart was racing for a good 5 mins after that one as it was very loud and sharp. 3.1km from the house so it did feel like a 4.8 or so here too. Just had another felt event 40mins ago. More noise than anything

Mother nature is back again today rattling under our feet, the one after 5pm had the lights swinging abit and trees shaking outside.
As usual several faults ping ponging, felt the greendale bump this morning from rolleston at 4.1 magnitude.
Then the 4.8 after 5pm 10km east of christchurch and more recently a quick bump 3.6 same spot, must admit though its been very nice having a long quiet period as todays shake was possibly the strongest since mid January.

Yeah the 4.1 this morning was only 3km away from us here, made the doors wobble but hardly felt it was more noise. The 4.8 was really shaky compared to the 4.1 and went on for 10 seconds here.

Like hell.

We were in Briscoes in Riccarton and stuff was coming off the shelves and general clattering around and stong shaking lasted nearly a minute. Really felt it was going to wind up but thankfully stayed below a 5.
