Clear and cloudy areas out there at the moment. Can see a few stars. Looks like GFS is bringing rain again to the Eastern SI this coming weekend. See what the next few runs do. Certainly some uncertainty.

Yes latest GFS model shows lots of rain for this area next week, Hope it doesn't eventuate as I dont think the ground can take much more rain.

60mm for this event so far with heavy drizzle at the moment.

i dont see snow to low levels ,but this mornings models its still looking like its going to be a long period of rain/drizzle for the east of the South Island with low pressure hanging back over the North Island and to the west

17mm rain over last 24 hours, giving a total of 37mm for the event.
Sunshine here at the moment but plenty of scattered low cloud about.
4.3 degrees.
