Webcams in central NI and Napier showed it pretty wet this morning, not sure about thunderstorms. (but a little snow or hail visible on ground at Desert Road summit early this morning, melted later)

Sea breeze front seems to be on the Kaimais atm, 5 PM to 6PM is when a defined line of convergence should come in here.

At home now. Torrential rain here, very loud thunder and forked lightning. Some of those were so close they almost hurt the ears!

Focus of lightning is just to the NE of here. We continue to have very loud cracks of thunder and CGs but rain not heavy anymore

I think I'm near Howick , some very nice lightning last 30mins, heavy rain, some small hail observed.
Might head for Bombay now before the evening rush traps me here
Quite heavyrain/ hail here just now.

Huge clap of thunder in Takapuna. Don't normally hear it in our big building, but the whole place shook.

Thunderstorms- NI- 12th -13th November
In Cambridge waiting for ignition here. I see MS have updated their chart to show all of upper NI having severe storms.
