Id keep an eye on flight deals that go direct to Dallas TX, could save a bit of cash on another flight from LA.

You can with Qantas for $1,899.00 but you have to go via Sydney adds an extra 10 hours flying time on. I would look at flying to Denver more central if you do have to go North for storms, long way from Dallas to SD!! I wouldnt mind driving from Los Angles via Vegas to Denver.

Hmm, previously their best sales where in the very early New Year. I'll have a think about this and check if Jacci is ready to commit to dates as it looks like we will pair up at this stage unless someone else wants to join us.

Spwill and I have been discussing going for a couple of weeks. But the trip isn't planned yet, I'm looking at buying a ticket in the January sales. Timing of the trip is always tricky, go early season or go late season.

It is tricky, I just haven't seen flights this cheap from CHCH to LAX before with out having to fly via Australia. I will be giving it some thought over the next couple days.

Looks like Jacci may no longer be able to afford to go. So I'm sitting on the fence for the moment and will look at it seriously in January. I have to be back at the end of May, hence considering going earlier for a mid April start.

Chris Chittick has now left TVN according to his FB page.
First Joel now Chris, Reed is obviously causing problems, must be his attitude.

Florida has had a swarm of Tornadoes Today (10th Dec U.S Time).

No, Dick McGowan took over from Joel. Chris I believe has been with TVN since 2007.

Scratch that, was looking at moving, may not have yet. Stumbled across something else where he was looking at moving to Colorado.

Every year I think about chasing in the US and then every year something comes up and I never do!

This year the biggest road block of them all but it's not all bad. Bought a house up in Mount Somers (Thunderstorm Corner) so will be moving there in a week or two. So my funds are going to be a bit limited for the next year or so perhaps, we'll see. Am currently renovating etc.

Could be a good place for future meets that's for sure! lol.

I am still considering USA 2013 chasing. Just trying to assess what the season may be like considering the drought there.
