Yeah, could be.
Picking up a few distant sferix as I type.
Nothing at Oxford today although there was a large amount or organized cloud 'Streeting" across the plains and very weak Cu forms up against the foothills.
Good to see the large turnout of people to welcome the Morris Oxford at Oxford being driven all the way from Oxford in England.
We went up there in my wif'es Morris Minor and was amazed at how many Morris cars were there, Oxfords, Minors, minis whatever.
Of course we Morris Danced as well

Wow, the air looks very unstable over the South Island. 500mb temp at Invercargill was minus 22C. Thats cold for February.
Looks like winds will turn increasingly onshore over the east of the South Island today as the new low centre winds up. That doesn't look positive for thunder in the east although localised convergence possible.

Not a bad storm Andy. I watched this one from a restaurant in Alex with a glass of Wyndham Estate in my hand. Pity it washed out my cricket the next morningAndy wrote:Yes Gary a good storm down here also the action kicked off around 8.20pm last night.
18mm of rain in 30 to 35min with thunder and electrical activity !

Though glad to play a few games in mid 20 heat, not mid 30's
There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
