SE Australia Extreme Heat

Adelaide forecast today: 45C, tomorrow 46C!

Renmark, SA has a forecast of 48C.

Adelaide may take over a capital city record from Melbourne's Black Saturday record of 46.6C

Hoping the fires aren't too bad over the next few days. :-S

Woke up randomly just on 2am last night, felt horrible, checked the temp, was still sitting at 36c!

Adelaide has peaked at 43.8°C so far today, the overnight low was 30

Adelaide peaked at 44.2C at 3pm LT yesterday, so not as high as Tuesday's 45.1C.

Perth had the hotest day of all time in winter and september, 20/9/14 with 34,5ºc the previous record was 32,7ºc so is more 1,8ºc and we are not even in the last days of the month =O

Yes, some notable September records set for Perth on Saturday. Not sure how a temperature in spring can be a record for winter though, nor how its location is relevant to the title of this thread... lol :D

Well... yes #-o but it was the only topic with the australia name so it was the best choice, and 21 june to 23 september is considered summer here so in the south hemisphere is supposed to be winter humm late winter :B
