SPC are outlooking Missouri tomorrow as one of the regions being monitored for tornadoes. That's chaseable country.

Apparently a strong Cap at 6000' has dramatically reduced risk.

In 2008 we chased SW Arkansas to Little Rock, I think it is a dangerous place to chase due to lack of roading and poor visibility with trees.

It sounds dangerous the way some of talking about it. Combination of poor visibility and fast moving storms. However, if you stayed in an area where you had suitable visibility and appropriate egress routes, the risk could likely be mitigated. Some are still chasing, but going with locals who have the area knowledge.

My brother lives in Missouri in a 3 story house, one level underground.
Yes, might have to get nephews into action again into chasing some storms, instead of lying around "Watching Fred Dagg re-runs" ? 8-o   [-X

If it was them that videoed the tornado last year, they did well. It might not take much encouragement.

I see Reed posted this video today.

He states at the end after having his windows blown out that its the price you pay for storm chasing. Its more the price you pay for being an idiot!! Seems to be more and more of these chasers out there these days.

Thats not a way to chase..... Quite Idiotic!
Reed Timmer has in way contributed to this type of chasing I think. Since his debut on TV on Storm Chasers, more people want to take really stupid risks just to say that they were the closest to the Tornado.
Case in point, on the 2nd to last season of Storm Chasers, Reed wanted to go inside a Tornado in the DOM, he underestimated it and then the Windows broke in, causing injury to himself and Chris.
For goodness sake, people need look back at Tim Samaras etc situation before putting themselves voluntarily into that position.

I personally hold no respect for anyone who risk's there own life, and potentially someone else's for such a needless cause.

Certainly a few big days over there. I have to feel for those that lost loved ones and properties etc. I was stunned with the first video and had to conclude he'd ended up in a position where he had no escape path so found the lowest point he could to ride it out. Without more detail it's just assumption. The name implied he did some kind of media work.

I was worried after El Reno about the future impact on the Storm Chasing community, I though it would be a wake up call and people would be less prepared to get close to or in front of big tornadoes and would be more cautious. Now I'm wondering if it has had the opposite effect.

Looking at all the vehicles in the second video, I hope they weren't drivers pulled off the road.
