Brief but Cold change Thursday (29th) afternoon
Looking like a morning NW flow with give way to much colder southerly throughout the south island. Snow to low levels in the south, 400-500m over Canterbury for time during the evening! Nice way to see us into winter in a couple of days time.

Taken from my Kestrel 4500 which I had logging every 10s that afternoon
Temps before change might be slightly overestimated due to sunlight.

It was a gust-front which did deliver strong winds and a gradual drop of temperature as it moved over.
