Good example of the power of a tornado. As Tim Marshall once said, its just moving air!

Really annoys me how stuff have put there name all over this video. I would find it highly unlikely they bought any licence to this video. http://www.stuff.co.nz/motoring/videos/ ... way-garage

That Stuff story originated from the Washington Post though (written by their Deputy Weather Editor and Meteorologist, Angela Fritz). So maybe they obtained the rights, or perhaps just the 'yeah-rights'... lol :-)

Re this comment:
At this point, the driver turns the car back to the garage, seeking shelter, but the garage is decimated before his eyes. As the camera pans, it’s unclear who is steering the car, the driver or the tornado.
I would say it was definitely the tornado that spun the car back towards the garage. Otherwise the driver would have had to reverse a little before lining up the garage again.

It is surprising he did not hear it coming because as soon as he reversed out of the garage it was upon him. He was very lucky that flying debris did not penetrate his part of the car. It does appear that the wind moved the car rather than it being driven to a position facing the garage. A lot of Russians now have webcams in their cars for insurance purposes, so more of these things get recorded.....that is why there were so many good videos of the meteorite that struck Chelyahinsk in Feb 2013.
