Such as watching the lightning going nuts via detectors running Blitzortung, Lightning/2000 and StormVue.

Yes, the Blitzortung tracker are going very well atm, the work Egon has done on the algorithm plus the new detectors has done wonders!

It's been interesting to compare the output from the TOA and the two Bolteks. I thought operating both may have been redundant, but it's proved to be anything but. Blitzortung's reach and long-range accuracy nicely compliments the short-range accuracy and detailed output of the L/2K and StormVue systems.

And the correlated result from our Stormvue outputs is working reasonably well. With the failure of my old desktop PC, I'm now running an LD-250 instead of the PCI tracker and I think it's producing better results :-k

Interesting. Is anyone in NZ using the 350? If so, what are the benefits over the 250 (or the StormTracker PCI)?

PS - How much do you want for the redundant PCI card? I can always use a spare... :B

The 350 has USB and ethernet instead of serial like the 250. It can report the type of strike like the PCI card and there's an optional GPS timestamp card for use in a network.

At the moment, there's a possibility that the spare PCI system will be installed at a site about 100km from here to improve triangulation...

Is that the same GPS card as used in the PCI version? I'd love a couple of those, but not at Boltek's asking price!

Well, fine.

Not many... I don't think the Boltek resellers even list them.

The Ld350 has a much more powerfull antenna than the PCI or LD250.
Mark Mears is selling the LD350 unit at a much much cheaper price of $899 USD: http://www.aninoquisi.com/product_p/ld-350.htm

Any back on topic, Thanks BPO and everyone keeping your units up, well done.....
2015 will be a fantastic year with the system blue expected to be launched then.
Will have plenty of additional features which the red doesn't have, hence why I am waiting....

That is interesting. I had no idea.

My credit card is melting.

Cheers, but it had to happen some time. Usually they all go offline a few minutes before the thunderstorm of the century, so it was nice to do it the other way for a change.

Wait, what? There's a System Blue, now? I was just beginning to think about the Red!

Any details or info?

Okay, spill it.
