Typhoon Soudelor made landfall in Hualien County, S of Taipei around 5am LT this morn (9am NZST). Apparently a gust of 163 kph was recorded at Su'ao on Taiwan's NE coast. JMA estimated 10-minute max winds of 155 km/h, gusting 220 km/h around that time, central pressure 940 hPa.
