This morning we had very strong supercell storm passing over city..as it pass over on back side there where tons of anvil crawlers...

In last few years this kind of storms are normal for this part of Europe..because of Alps (cold air) and small surface of sea (hot water) in every change of temperature there is a chance for good storm..NZ Thunderstorm Soc wrote:We don't have storms like that here.

While attending a shingle sprint race near Staveley yesterday, I took this photo of the k-h-like formations above Mount Somers (well, visually it was above Mt Somers …).

I didn't know that specific a name for it, but it would seem so, based on what I read about those. The colours were more defined though polarised sunglasses which helped me to notice it in the first place.
