Don't worry TgSnoopy I gave up hours ago once I saw it was all very linear and messy.

I did get to see some funnel clouds and awesome wall clouds early on tho.

It turned messy pretty quickly really, still some nice structure about and plenty reports of golf ball plus size hail.

Massive amount of severe hail/wind reports. But the stormchaser chatter in the few days leading up to the event was negative about the shear being there for tornadoes. So a no surprises day I guess.

The busts are good for advancing your knowledge. And what I take from this set up is a reminder that the hodograph is one of the best tools for forecasting tornadoes or lack of them.

Still getting my head around hodographs, seeing as there is almost Nil reason to use them here. I understand that the critical angle needs to be over 90. Any good reading I can find out about more of them?

90 degrees is the angle that coincides with maximum tornado potential - doesnt matter if over or below 90, but the closer the better. There looked to be a lack of an easterly component to the low level winds today, meaning the critical angle would be too low? Was reading this the other day: https://warningaware.com/blog/2016/03/29/hodograph/

Tomorrow is potentially a tornado day for Oklahoma. On the synoptic scale the set up looks significant with a decent jet nosing onto the area. But the models have been showing a lot of early precip with this set up which could kill it. Could be an interesting one to watch anyway.

I see Reed is ending TVN Weather streams.
After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to discontinue the TVNweather Live Storm chasing service.

When we launched the TVN live streaming platform 4 years ago, our mission was to grow a platform for storm chasers to share their severe weather reports and experiences in the field with weather enthusiasts, news media, emergency managers, and especially the people in the path of these dangerous storms. The platform has provided many storm chasers with the opportunity to share their chases with the world and we consider the overall experience a success. Many people and organizations have also come to rely on it for public safety and early warning and we know it will be missed.

Unfortunately and for various reasons, we can no longer provide the level of service everyone has grown to expect and as such we would rather simply shut the service down rather than provide a substandard viewing experience.

We are not seeking options or contributions to continue operating the Live Storm Chasing platform, but simply would like to thank our loyal supporters and especially our network of hard-working storm chasers for growing this incredible product over the last 4 years
His last kick-starter campaign failed to raising funds and I believe it is costing around $30k a year to run. Tuesday outages was probably the nail in the coffin.

Sad to see this go, seemed to have a good following with plenty of chasers contributing.

I was watching Jeff Piotrowski on periscope this morning and he was chased by a rain wrapped tornado across south central Oklahoma, and got caught in it at one stage. You could see flying debris when he was close to the tornado. The storm passed just south of Norman.
