Re: Metservice BloomSky weather camera stations
Interesting, looks like they are trying to swap out the "Your Weather" community by making a community of these.
I am not sure if sensors would be that accurate as it doesn't seem to have a FARS and seems enclosed.

Re: Metservice BloomSky weather camera stations
agree Tim, the temperature is not accurate
I would think they will be more interested in the camera data?
anyway, I signed up
(as I missed out on getting one from the states when the had an field test offer originaly)

I disabled 5G (i.e so only 2.5G)

Re: Metservice BloomSky weather camera stations
my data is online here
https://map.bloomsky.com/loc?lat=-37.128&lng=174.611
if you click on one of the stations
then you can change to C instead of F
but that is lost next time the page is loaded...have the developers not heard of cookies?
currently my bloomsky says its 24C here on my lawn
but its actually only 20C

Now it says 26 when its 19, lol. And Metservice is endorsing this thing.........Manukau heads obs wrote: currently my bloomsky says its 24C here on my lawn

They must like it just for the camera not for the Weather Data as that is atrocious! (not that I expected it to be better anyway)

yeah, it is just a bit of a toy, when it comes to the temperature reading
the barometer reading is actually only 1hpa out

Re: Metservice BloomSky weather camera stations
Interesting to hear. I've got mine up now, and the temp/pressure/humidity readings are almost identical with my existing station.

Re: Metservice BloomSky weather camera stations
I have put mine on a small post now
so its a bit higher off the lawn
and more into the breeze
its not reporting as high now
I see there are lots of new stations that have popped up in the auckland area on the back of the campaign by M/S

Re: Metservice BloomSky weather camera stations
my bloom sky temperature is much more realistic now
just by siting it on a small post, up a bit higher, to catch the breeze better
I see Mt Eden domain one is showing 31c currently
