Moist trough 16-18th Feb North Island

This rain event just keeps on going. Haven't seen rain like this in summer for years! I'm about 100mm so far from the event. Currently raining solidly at 20mm/hr

Getting the odd shower here too. I notice a PWS north of Auckland (near Puhoi) had 29mm last 2 hrs this morning.

Not sure why I bother chasing in NZ, always end up disappointed... anyway here are a few snaps of the best I came across over Saturday and Sunday.

better looking skies up there than down here, but then, we don't want lightning around the Port Hills. 8-o
