Only 9mm in Amberley since midnight, rain moderate at times but very intermittant with long spells of light drizzle in between the showers. Temp around 7-8deg all day, so the snow level must be reasonably high.

I hope August pulls something off as it was rather pathetic excuse for a winter here in CHristchurch, this July
I suspect spring will stay mild and wet for the whole country. The ski season is finished! Any snowfall won't last.

Heavy showers in Auckland this evening. 14C.

Heavy rain this afternoon from Manukau down to the Bombays and lighter falls in the Waikato with fine periods.
Did look very black around west Auckland (didn't hear any thunder), and out east near the divide and beyond.

Periods of rain this evening in Hamilton, 11c and light winds

Very wet in Wellington this evening and other parts around the Cook Strait area but as there are not very many active members around this part of NZ on this forum, the event could possibly pass unnoticed????

I know you get good Wellington AM reception in ChCh so you could hear about it on a station like The Breeze 891AM ;)

Yes I noticed that, but the rain radar suggests it will fade and the worst is gone :D
