It got up to 33C here in Geraldine today'
Might be a good idea for a new topic.
Very warm with not much wind here.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
I see there were a lot of plus 30s over the country especially in inland areas.

It was certainly hot in Dunedin today, it got up to 30˚C.

As a comparison to the UK to what would equate to early May here, the highest temperatures are 29°C, with 32°C not reached until the end of the month.

just add that Pukaki Airport yesterday had a daily temperature range of 4C to 30C!

Mt Cook airfield this morning was on 22C at 6am.

Interesting the heat ratcheted up so much yesterday, today will be very interesting I reckon numerous November records will be on the line there

Not quite 30C here yet. We bit more of an easterly here compared to yesterday's wind absence, if so a very slight westerly.

Been out Corsair Bay this morning before the crowds and was very pleasant, early twenties I would estimate. Back in halswell and its Hot, that 34c at Jeff's station in Hoon Hay be spot on

Yes absolutely roasting here in HoonHay, Christchurch on 35 degrees. I notice it's hottest about Cashmere, HoonHay and Halswell currently, with 31 at the airport. No breeze to speak of.

How can it be so hot here (halswell) yet Lyttleton and New Brighton only on 18.9C & 17.1C Although that Lyttleton site must be much more exposed to the easterly

The westerly does not seem to be as strong as expected, only 11kph even out at the very exposed Port Taharoa. Means the heat I think will be more widespread inland NI, but places like Rotorua, Kawerau etc may not exceed 30 today.

I see 28 in Tauranga now. Up to 21 here, struggling to get much higher despite fairly light winds

Cracked the 30c mark here but today's heat seems different to yesterdays as there is a bit of an easterly blowing compared to yesterday's stagnant heat.
