Re: General July Weather
Some very heavy rain in southern Otautahi and some small hail mixed in.
No lightning yet though despite the radar looking impressive.
Lots of surface flooding too, will be filling up those waterways in no time.

Fine overnight but with some high cloud.
High cloud clearing away this morning to become totally fine and clear but high cloud building from 2pm with some instability looking clouds to the west increasing from then on.Low cloud along the coast.
The southerly came through around 5pm with a gust front here followed with some steady rain until about 8pm. 8mm for today.
Becoming fine later this evening.

Re: General July Weather
I had to drive to the Wairarapa and back today from Wellington. Snow was falling but not settling on the Remutaka Road around the summit. Some awesome towering cumulus clouds up the eastern side. Looks like another round tomorrow/ Friday

Re: General July Weather
In my 14 years of data only twice has July failed to drop below 2C - this year and last year. Not seen a ground frost locally since 2021.
