33.3C was today's maximum with light winds from the north turning more NW to west during the afternoon.
Blue dome for a while this afternoon but then cloud rolled in from the west easing the temperature a bit.
Mild evening with being 22.6C at 10pm.

The humidity - it’s sitting around 70-80% most of the night

I reckon a muggy night for Auckland this time of year is when the dew point stays at 18C or above. That will give a minimum temperature of atleast 19-20C, humidity about 90%.

Agreed, 90%+ humidity is pretty much the norm overnight anyway regardless of the minimum, so I would say including the term "uncomfortably warm and muggy" is only really relevant if the min temp is close to 20C.

Will be good to get some decent rain here Monday/Tuesday, just 2mm in the last 2 weeks so starting to dry out.

I think there is a lack of convergence / upper level cooling for too much in the way of heavy showers here next few days, see what we get over the next few days. A warm humid week ahead.
