Another 'rodent' moving through tomorrow but nothing much out of it, storm wize that is - how ever the 3 I have given it
Could next week could be more interesting once we get rid of this impending bloody annoying anticyclone?
...and no more low pressure systems heading towards Auckland please

Re Canterbury Wednesday.
I tend to agree, the day doesn't have much going for it instability wise. I think there could well be some t/cu or weak cb with hail if a boundary manages to develop between the sth buster and a NE breeze.
That sth buster then clears the North Island on Thursday with Isolated afternoon thunder.

Well there was no thunder. The front being rather pathetic.
Ne not influential enough. Pressure too high?
Coming onto rain now with this light patchy stuff.
The ECMWF models dosen't look very good for the rest of the week and into next week
Annoying anticyclones in the way.
However interesting forecast for Sat/Sun from MetService with fine weather apart from showers on the plains?
Could these be convective or just heat showers?
