Early days yet, way too busy with way too many other things right now, so expect a few teething troubles.

Are you sending the data to NCEP through the CWOP programme?Gary Roberts wrote:A station will definitely be up-and-running by Sunday, out at the head of Lake Ohau, near the divide. That should provide some very interesting wind gust readings!Zanman wrote:Obviously your Omarama site is still up. Will await more.
Quite a while since I have been in that area.

The plan so far:Andy wrote:Excellent Gary
Great to have stations in those locations![]()
Any others in the pipe line
Magic Mountain (Lindis Pass area)
Mt St Cuthberts (behind Omarama)
Benmore Peak (yawn...)
Lake Ohau
Twizel
Mount Cook area
Lake Tekapo (township)
and/or
Mount John (which is adjacent Lake Tekapo)
Some of these are little more than wishes at this point while others are close to being in place and online.
I'm still considering discussing the option of equipping each of the local power stations also, those being Tekapo A; Tekapo B (Lake Pukaki); Ohau A, B and C (near Twizel); Benmore (near Otematata); Aviemore; and Waitaki (near Kurow).
Aviemore in fact has one operational, and I'm working to get the data online. This is all subject to approval by Meridian Energy and I hasten to add is in no way officially sanctioned by that company (as yet).
