What weather books do you have?
I have "Wild Weather" from the BBC TV series,,Wierd Weather,a couple of NZ weather books, but not the Eric Brenstruum one and a book about ball lightning... and some others I can't think of the title of, locked away in the container.

I read a book years ago, when I was a kid, called 'Pilot's Weather', by Ann Welch...it was excellent.

Sadly I have this inability to read anything that is not on a computer screen therefore my weather library consists of...

1) A Metservice Calendar from 2002 (I'm still turning up to work on Sundays)

2) [removed by moderator]

3) The inside front cover of the phonebook on "Be Prepared for Disasters"

I found an interesting book at Books and More Barrington this afternoon called "Water High - Floods in New Zealand" by a chap called Graham Hutchins who has written some other interesting factual books about NZ life. His "Railway Yarns" were quite a good read.
I didn't buy the boook as I can't afford it at the moment. It retails for 29.99 NZ dollars, which is a good price but I wouldn't pay $30 for it

I purchased 'Spacious Skies' by Richard Scorer and Arjen Verkaik about 8 years ago from a Whitcoulls sale. Its largely about convective weather. Great book, never tire of looking through it.

Good book

I bought my copy in Oxford, England in 1993.
Safely tucked away in the container at West Melton.

I have that one with that TV1 old lady on it and has Gizelle as a 960 thing and has the Aug 1975 NWer in it and other diagrams

The NZ weather book by Erick Brenstrum is a very good read.
I know he researched the cyclone of '36 thoroughly.. did he publish anything longer than what's on the MetService site?

A Practical Guide to Weather Forecasting in New Zealand - Alex A. Neale

Climate and Weather - Kenneth B. Cumberland

The New Zealand Weather Book (actually i have 2 copies of this, the old version with the TV lady on the front, and a newer version of it)

Cloud Forms - Ray Smith

The New Zealand Weather Book - Eric Brenstrum

Weather Watching - Richard Whitaker

I have a few more, just cant lay my hands on them.

I have a number of good books too.

Weather- by David Ellyard a Discoveries brand book.

Tracy- by Gary Mckay the cyclone on december 25th that hit Darwin 1974 chapter book.

The coming global superstorm- By Art Bell and Whitley Strieber chapter book.

Amazing planet earth- By John Farndon Jack Challower an illistrated science encylopedia has some awsome stuff on weather and how it works.

The New Zealand weather book- By Eric Brenstrum got that in 1998.

Weather book- By Bruce Buckley, Edward J. Hopkins Richard Whitaker another awsome read with nice pictures.

Freaks of the Storm- By Randy Cerveny one which iam reading at the moment. chapter book

Another one I found and I want to get is.
The Coming Storm- By Mark Maslin.

Aaron do you still have my Weather eye book it's chapter book

I've got some weather related books, including a novel about climate change - Forty Signs of Rain, by Kim Stanley Robinson. Set in the near future, its plot centres around a Katrina like storm which ravages Washington DC, isolating the White House for a time, and forcing the occupants of that building to face the direct reality of climate change. I've just started reading the followup, Fifty Degrees Below (borrowed from the library), whose plot and themes look to be similar to the film Day after Tomorrow.
