In other parts of Southland and Otago, amounts accumulating above 300 metres in
the period 6am Sunday to 6am Monday are expected to be 10cm or less.

Light snowfalls could occur as low as 200 metres.

People in Southland and Otago should review travel plans as some roads could be
affected.

Sunny all day here in Christchurch with a cool NE breeze this afternoon. A max of 11.5C here at 1:30pm, 9.0C now at 5:10pm
Should be a bit more snow to see on the mountains next time they appear from the clouds in a couple of days.
Nice picture there Jeff.
I have never been along there for a walk which is a shame as it is close to my work.
Nice shot of the snow covered Torlesse Range there behind the buildings at the Wigram Aerodrome.

Coldest night here so far of the year, I got down to 4.5c but widespread fog has prevented a frost over basin Waikato. 2c in Whakatane and 4c in Whitianga at 6am.

Thunder risks have subsided slightly over Ak but still a chance. Going for a high in Waiouru tomorrow of 3c and easing snow.

Just a sporadic chilly rain here in Omarama at the moment, although it may be snowing on the tops. I'm heading back up the mountain shortly so will try to get pics of anything interesting.

A non event here in the city at least. SW change slammed in at 12.30am this morning and there has been 14mm rain overnight. Mainly sunny this morning with a cool but not overly strong SSW and I have a current reading of 10.1 - as I type this we have just had a 30 second hail shower.

Hey Andy, any snow over your way? It's falling like crazy in the Lindis and on the tops. I've just been up in the pass for the comedy and it's moving north quite quickly. Plenty on the ranges around here at the moment too.

Just a light dusting to 600-700m, dark skies to the north and west.

Going to St Bathans area after lunch will take some pics, more than liklely some fresh snow out that way, and some from a couple of days ago.
