have you come across any actual tornadoes yet??
No but the Lightning alone has made the trip worthwhile, have seen storms with at least several hundred lightning flashes per min.

At Clarendon, Texas Panhandle. Got severe thunderstorms here with golf ball hail!

At Clarendon, Texas Panhandle. Got severe thunderstorms here with golf ball hail!

1 Hail

2 Build up on the side of a Thunderstorm. This build up produced large hail

3 Tornado shelter at a Motarway rest area.

ouch would nto want to get hit on the head with one of thoses and you would not want any hail that size hitting your car you would be kissing your windscrean goodbye

If they can afford all that gear surely they can pay for their dings ;)

In Alva, Northern Oaklahoma has been a hot day up to 35C.
Incredible Thunderstorm here right now, has been going for over an hour.

Here's a pic from our hotel lobby, shows rain and 1cm hail stones falling. Great Lightning outside right now :D

Yes, great storm going on here at the moment. Some violent wind gusts too. The local airport reported a gust of 57knots in their last metar.

Its like that here now :lol: less lightning and thunder and warmth ;)

We're on the Oaklahoma / Texas border at Sayre.
Spectacular on going Thunderstorm here tonight.

This afternoon we followed a SuperCell Thunderstorm for several hours.

SLR Camera Lightning pics, late afternoon light so shutter speed 2 secs.

i'm certainly enjoying your guys reports as well.

Back in auckland its been pretty boring, just a couple of F3's and one F5, pretty standard for this time of year.

Oh and the skytower had snow on it, but thats it :lol:

The Storm produced 1 inch hail, 90kmh wind gusts, zillions of Lightning Cg's and we observed several funnel clouds (photo).

lol i didnt mean actually pysically running into a tornado, well at least you are seeing funnels now next storm be the torndo one :D ;)

In Burlington in Colorado.

Thunderstorm here late afternoon produced a lot of heavy rain, strong wind and some hail ( photo's) up to an inch size.
Larger hail lying 15cm deep was reported earlier in the afternoon west of here.

In the lovely town of Taos, NewMexico.
Drove through a Thunderstorm on the way here today with 1 cm hail.


End of our stormchasing today, plan to play tourist for the last few days.
