First real heavy shower just through here. More to come! :D

Thanks for pointing that out Tony, it does look spectacular..

Looks like that SI cold air is moving and turning towards the NE, brushing Dunedin to BP soon.

\server down :(

Well I sure as hell hope you got more than we did, Phil. Light snow for around five minutes, maybe a few mm, then it was all over. Clear sky now. Was that winter...? :?

Might be able to stretch it to a cm on the ground. It's actually white across my property and the road outside. Of course everyone is driving up the hill outside my house for no more reason than to drive in it  . Just hope someone wipes out my car so I can claim the insurance ;)

Still cold and more flurries every now and then. Large hail before, probably around 7-8mm. Might go for a walk up the hill

Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster :D

Big load of hail just came through, 2.6 Deg, 1.4 dp *hopes for a dusting*

*EDIT*

Just went for a hoon up the Port Hills, was half way up when the heavens opened and the hail came down, which barely minutes later turned into mm's of fresh, fresh powder

Of course I still had to get down hahah, the snow was settling rather quickly. An exciting wee midnight adventure :D

17mm rainfall in total, 12mm of which fell before 10pm last night when the really cold air and stronger winds kicked in. Snow on the local hills to about 250m, but very very thin, much less than in the May event.

17 mm of rain in Tawa yesterday. Another 3 mm overnight.
We've had hail in the last hour, but things have brightened since.
Currently 4.7 C with a "brisk" southerly. :?
I'm glad I'm sheltered from the south - it will be a bit grim on Wellington's south coast this morning.

I don't know what to feel more outraged about: the fact that you got more snow than us, or that you have a flasher Stevenson Screen than me.

Hey Tich is it still sleeting/snowing there now, or did you mean that's what you got overnight?
