Damaging Surf
For people in
Illawarra, Metropolitan, Hunter and southern Mid North Coast

Issued at 11:10 am on Saturday 3 June 2006

Synoptic Situation: 9:00 am EST Saturday

Damaging surf conditions, with waves exceeding 5 metres in the surf zone, may
produce significant beach erosion between Newcastle and Seal Rocks. Swell
directions are from the south.

Dangerous surf conditions with waves in the surf zone near 4 metres and wave
periods of 10 seconds or more are also likely along the remaining coast between
Ulladulla and Smoky Cape.

Looks wet and windy for us, watch out for hail and sleet due to cold pool hovering over top of us too.

Heavy thunderstorms beeen near us all night with massive ccs and cgs galore! A small thunderstorm is coming in now! Winds are gusty here atm

It was hailed in Ballina twice today. I was out in the school oval while it was hailing two times seperated 3 mins each one! It around size of pebble hard part and whole is table tennis balls. I saw couple hailstorms roaring in the east and coast guard told our school there was size of tennis ball over the bay north of East Ballina about 2mins!More thunderstorms developing through this week and next week with massive stuckness here!
