can see some cells showing on the radar now just to our southwest... and a great flood of chasers heading that way... have to find a good window in the terminal for a look!

We chased that storm quite late, got a couple of CG shots to come out of it... bit of a fizzer really today in Corrorarro.

Yep, the storm fizzled toward dusk. Put on a great CG show during early evening hours. There was quite a few storm chasers on it too, hoping for supercellular mode but the wind shear was too weak today for that to happen.

we watched a cell, maybe that one, from the airport lounge that started dropping CGs very early on in its buildup... spwill got some good pics from the plane looking down on it

Remember to stretch those legs wandering around in the departure lounge, long flights after sitting around in the lounge are harder than if you stretched your legs (Not to mention DVT risk factors).

Black Hawk is a meaner name though for a very mean looking machine.

Should be more thunderstorms around today than yesterday due to low level moisture advection but weak upper level wind fields mean the threat of severe storms looks low. 300mb 10kts!

Will be moving up into western Nebraska today. Puts us in a better position for tomorrow too.

Driving up NE towards Nebraska on the I76 now, nice convergance line of T/Cu & odd Cb. 29Â°C / DP 11Â°C, here now.. getting a bit hot!

The RUC shifts the action a bit more westward this afternoon/evening up on the CO/NE border. Might wait in Big Springs and see what happens.

Foggy, we are on hold at Crook, I76 atm. Just watching things from here for a while but will likely keep heading N into Nebraska. Interesting to see the line of thunderstorms popping up just south of us over NE Colorado. Yes, the RUC is plotting CAPE 4000j/kg over the Ne/Co border by early evening.

Bit of a bust day today, storms were very junky. There was a small landspout type tornado reported , other than that I think most chaser will be disappointed with todays results.

Fingers crossed for a better tomorow!!

In North Platte, Nebraska for the night.

Aiming for Pierre, South Dakota for lunch time tomorrow. Will be supercells over the Dakotas tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned!

you must go and visit Wall Drug while in south Dakato....you simply must!
(its advertised for 100 of miles around it!)

i am thinking if you are on the right supercell tomorrow you may well get a tornado...make sure to get up on the wall cloud and go after a great tornado photo.....thats the important shot!

We're targeting Jamestown, North Dakota this evening.. a bit further north than we expected.. but then again we're after nado's!

dont look in the rear vision mirror...good looking isolated supercell developing where you have just come from!
