Yes the sun is now in it's northern hemisphere quadrant for the next 6 months. Long nights and cold days ahead

Great!...And me with a new house to build
As an aside, on the way home through Helensville tonight, I snapped this shot of the sunset....I reckon it's a contrail. Any other lucid thoughts from you lot??

Cbfan - I live about 10km south of Helensville and can confim there is a regular contrail around sunset - some nights it is very spectacular
