Persistent mod-heavy rain here in Grey Lynn for the last hour a couple of flashes/rumbles in the last 10mins. Plenty of spherics.
Latest satellite indicates some serious cb's moving into the BOP.

In the last two days station 93186 Tauranga has registered 213mm.
I was over at Howick(east Auckland) between 11am and 12pm and had very heavy rain with plenty of lightning/thunder. Observed a CG strike within about 200m of me. It was very close, the bang and flash came togeather. Weather cleared there about 12.30pm.
