The long term models do seem to show a very non eventfuled May for Christchurch and the south. I've always found May to be boring as anything here, Auckland seems to do alright out of it, I remeber back a few years when they had a great run on Tstorms day after day.

Does it, I wouldn't have knowen! Thanks for opening my eyes! I do enjoy most aspects of weather, just a settled period of weather duringthe cold months doesnt really excite me like it does for you!

I welcome the sunny days with glorious glowing sunsets against the deep indigo blue sky, the crisp mornings and a lovely 25min hard cycle ride to work in a minor frost, no wind to annoy during the day if outside, a chance to savour the autumn colours as the leaves stay on the trees, a lovely fire in the evening, a walk with the other half in the park, a beer and wine with the meal - life is glorious!! Autumn is a pleasure... savour it!
